VISITING KAUNAS

Getting a tattoo in Kaunas as a visitor

Many of my clients travel to Kaunas from abroad for their tattoo. I speak English, and here is how to plan the trip so the session fits easily into your stay.

How do I plan a tattoo around my trip?

Send your idea through the booking form as soon as you know your travel dates – ideally a few weeks ahead. We agree on the design, size and placement by email, and your date is secured with a deposit. Small and medium pieces are done in one session; larger projects such as sleeves take several sessions, so we plan them over a longer stay or a few visits.

How do I get to Kaunas?

Kaunas Airport (KUN) is about 15 minutes from the city by taxi or Bolt, or around 30 minutes by bus no. 29. From Vilnius Airport (VNO) it is about 100 km – roughly 1–1.5 hours by train or bus, or a direct taxi transfer.

Where is the studio?

My home studio is at A. Juozapavičiaus pr. 112, Kaunas, Lithuania. It is private and works by appointment only, so please come at your booked time. Sessions can be booked any day of the week between 9:00 and 21:00.

Where should I stay?

The city centre or the Old Town is the easiest base – the studio is a short taxi or Bolt ride away. A longer session can be tiring, so plan a calm evening afterwards rather than a night out.

Is it OK to fly after a tattoo?

Yes. Keep the tattoo clean, wear loose clothing over it on the way home and follow the aftercare guide. For the first 3–4 weeks avoid pools, the sea, saunas and direct sun – so plan beach days before your session, not right after it.

Can I ask questions once I am home?

Of course. If anything worries you while the tattoo heals, write to me at hello@jarisink.com or on Instagram. More answers are in the tattoo FAQ.
